A day after Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said he had no clue how his running back stable will look come Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, he got one big clue.
Starting running back Adrian Peterson returned to practice Thursday after sitting out Wednesday with a neck problem.
“He’s fine. He was out there today,” Cardinals offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin said. “Adrian’s a competitor so I expect him to do like he always does.”
Peterson has 448 yards on 3.5-yards per carry and two touchdowns in six games with the Cardinals this year.
Backup running back and return man Kerwynn Williams practiced both days despite fighting through the pain of cracked ribs. D.J. Foster and Elijhaa Penny are also available.
The Cardinals also promoted 24-year-old running back Bronson Hill off the practice squad on Wednesday.
