On Track with ‘The A-Train’

Well, we are off and runnin’!
2013 is starting off with a bang. We’re not easing into this one. It begins with the debut of our brand spanking new, in your face, mixed martial arts radio show right here on Arizona Sports 620 and ArizonaSports.com — The Power MMA Show — the first of its kind in the Valley of the Sun. Every Saturday, Jim Grieshaber, Ryan Bader and I talk UFC, Bellator and local fights and we have a lot of fun.
But, with us, it goes much deeper. As for our professional fighting careers, our partner and former Sun Devil All-American CB Dollaway co-headlined the UFC on FX card in Brazil and won an exciting three-round war versus Sao Paulo, Brazil homegrown UFC prospect Daniel Sarafian. CB set the bar high for 2013.
Now it is Bader’s turn to go and beat Vladimir Matyushenko in Chicago Saturday night, live on FX. Bader is looking to continue the winning ways of Power MMA! He’s had an amazing camp and he looks great! I should know. He beats me up every day and every camp it gets worse. This time he split my lip open with an uppercut. Bader hits extremely hard. He wants to finish this fight. I think this is going to be a huge year for him and for all of us at Power.
As for me, I’m waiting for the call to fight, but I’ll be keeping busy training and working with our guys. I’m also heading out to train with both Nick Diaz and Johnny Hendricks next month. They’ve hired me to head to each camp to prepare them to fight wrestler-style fighters in Georges St. Pierre and Jake Ellenberger. I look forward to mixing it up with each of them and sharing some MMA knowledge. Just like competing, coaching is in my blood. Check back here regularly for updates regarding my time spent at each camp, including behind the scenes pics and videos.
