The defending Arena Football League Champion Arizona Rattlers are off to a hot start, winning their first two games by an average of 21 points per game.

The Week 3 Coaches’ Poll rankings were released and the Rattlers sat atop the list for the second straight week after receiving 12 of 14 first place votes.

The 2012 Arena Bowl MVP Nick Davila has used his contract extension as motivation to start the season, throwing for 304 yards and seven touchdowns through the Rattlers first two games.

The return of wide receiver Maurice Purify has also been an added bonus to Davila. Purify has caught 10 balls for 141 yards and three touchdowns thus far.

The Rattlers will face off against the No. 2 team in the Coaches’ Poll for the second straight week on Saturday night. The San Jose Sabercats (2-0) will take on Davila and the Rattlers at US Airways Center at 5:30 P.M., and will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
