Despite loss, Rattlers remain atop AFL Coaches’ Poll

The Arizona Rattlers found themselves in unfamiliar territory last Saturday night in San Jose.
Not only did the Rattlers lose for the first time in ten games, they were blown out. Their 72-42 loss was one of the most lopsided defeats in their 21-year history.
But it still wasn’t enough to knock Kevin Guy’s team off their perch as the Arena Football League’s top team in the latest Coaches’ Poll.
The Rattlers (12-2) received 10 of 14 first-place votes and top the poll for the eighth straight week.
After defeating Arizona, San Jose garnered the remaining four first-place votes and took the second spot over Spokane via a tie-breaker.
The Rattlers have the week off before playing the Orlando Predators in Florida July 6.
