Week 13 of the Fantasy Football season for the 98.7 FM Arizona Sports Host League saw three teams score higher than 145 points. Find out who won and more in this week’s recap.
Dan Bickley (Blinded by the TD’s): 113
Paul Calvisi (Paulie Pigskins): 159
What a week for Paul Calvisi! He had five of his players score 23 points or more, which his leading scorers being Keenan Allen and A.J. Green with 26 each. He started Rob Gronkowski at tight end as he set a season high in targets, receptions and receiving yards. Although, Paul is going to need to start a new tight end next week after Gronk lost his cool and was suspended one game for an illegal hit after the whistle. If Dan Bickley played Gambo, Doug, Listener Winner, Burnsy or Vince, he would have gotten the win. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case despite his leading scorer being Larry Fitzgerald with 25 points.
Mike Jurecki (Team Jurecki): 148
Bertrand Berry (Daddy Phat $acks): 162
B-Train had his best week of the season as he tallied a whopping 162 yards. All but one player scored in the double digits, as his leading scorer was Josh McCown with 30 points with Nelson Agholor closely following with 27. On the other hand, Mike’s wide receivers had a good week as they combined for 58 points. His leading scorer was Tyreek Hill with 36 points, with Le’Veon Bell being the next highest with 28.
John Gambadoro (Sister Markus Golden Hair): 95
Doug Franz (I Hate Fantasy): 52
Gambo got the win against Doug this week, but it didn’t take much. Doug’s team only had one player score more than 10 points as his wide receivers combined for only 17 points. On the other hand, Gambo’s running backs had a good week as they combined for 44 points with his leading scorer being Mark Ingram with 23.
Ron Wolfley (Team Wolfley): 117
Listener Winner (Dancing With Stanton): 94
Wolf had five of his nine players score in the double-digits this week. His leading scorer was Alvin Kamara with 29 points, as his average of 8.4 yards per touch leads all running backs in the NFL. The Listener Winner had four players score in double digits, as his wide receivers struggled this week with a combined 17 points. His leading scorer was Jamaal Williams with 20 points, but Philip Rivers closely followed with 17.
Dave Burns (Bold Strategy Cotton): 96
Vince Marotta (That Booty!): 75
Burnsy’s leading scorers this week were tight end Delanie Walker and his kicker Greg Zuerlein, as they both racked up 17 points this week. His team was consistent with 5 of his nine players scoring more than 12 points, but his defense really struggled with only a point. Speaking of bad defenses, Vince’s actually subtracted points from his total with -8. That said, his wide receivers had a good week as they accounted for 45 of his final 75 points, with his leading scorer being Jermaine Kearse with 24.
