Marquette guard gets fans in the Christmas Spirit during game

Sophomore guard Markus Howard wanted to get Marquette basketball fans in the Christmas Spirit during the Golden Eagles game Thursday.
Howard was filmed singing and dancing to the popular “All I Want for Christmas is You,” which was played on the jumbotron during their game against American University at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, Marquette’s home arena.

At the conclusion of the video, cheers can be heard for Howard for his dance moves and impressive lip singing ability.
Howard has been a force for Marquette since enrolling as a freshman in 2016.
He received Big East all-freshman honors for his performance on the season, averaging 13.2 points per game and scoring a season high 34 against Xavier in February last season.
This year, Howard has improved immensely, as he currently averages 21.8 points per game, 3.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
A product of national powerhouse Findlay Prep in Nevada, Howard was at one point ranked as high as the 39th best player in the country by 247 Sports for the 2016 class.
A native of Chandler, Ariz., Howard played for Perry High School in Chandler his freshman and sophomore seasons before enrolling at Findlay Prep as a junior.
Howard is also a two-time gold medalist for his time with the USA Basketball Men’s U16 National Team at the FIBA Americas championship in 2015 and the FIBA U17 World Championship in 2016.
