Doug: The NL West is open again

Fire Bob Melvin after today’s (Thu 5-7) game.
Obviously that opinion doesn’t seem to coincide with the news of the day.
Manny Ramirez was suspended for 50 games today (Thu 5-7). The news according to Manny is it wasn’t a steroid but a substance that has been deemed a PED. He says he received it within a prescription from his doctor for a personal condition (Manny’s statement). Other reports say he took a women’s fertility drug. I don’t know if he wanted to get pregnant but in men the drug has been known to increase testosterone.
This news is clearly a sign that the NL West is open again. Today (Thu 5-7), the Dodgers are the best team in baseball. That’s not an opinionated statement. That’s fact based on record. I don’t think it will be fact for much longer. I think this will affect the entire line-up.
Anyone who’s following the D-backs situation knows Bob Melvin will be fired barring an incredible surge in offensive production and wins. Since we know he’s gone, why wait? The Nationals are coming to town on Friday night. That alone should lead to wins. Why not let those wins fall under the category of a new manager? Fire Melvin today (Thu 5-7) so it’s low on the national news scale. While the media runs around following the Manny story, you remove Melvin. Now your new manager starts 3-0.
