Doug’s NFL Power Poll: Week 4

Doug’s prediction of the Giants starting off 7-0 continues to hold true. The Lions are out of the basement for the first time in months (literally) and the middle is all jumbled with unexpected 1-2 teams (Steelers and Cardinals) and an unexpected 3-0 team Doug is not giving much credit to (Broncos).

	1. GIANTS: I told you since Aug they’d go 7-0…yes, I’m still pushing this prediction
	2. RAVENS: NYG could go 7-0 and drop to number 2 if BAL wins @NE, vCIN and @MIN
	3. COLTS: An amazing 5th in rush defense, of course when you’re 1st in pts and offense there’s not a lot of teams running against you…anyone else fired up for 5@4?

	5. JETS: Missing in all the Sanchez hype is the defense ranking 2nd pts allowed and 3rd in yds allowed…can’t wait to see what Brees does v 5th best pass defense
	6. VIKINGS: Wow!…272 consecutive starts—none vGB until MNF
	7. PATRIOTS: Performance against BUF still brings team down but win vATL and vBAL and all is forgiven
	8. FALCONS: Missed your chance @NE to gain respect but with three tough yet winnable games after bye week there’s hope–@SF, vCHI, @DAL
	9. CHARGERS: Who has more questions to answer? SD or PIT—answer on SNF…BTW, how is SD 31st in rushing?
	10. EAGLES: who made this schedule—vTB. @OAK, @WAS?…the world will talk about you @ 5-1 and then you’ll be going away for awhile
	11. 49ERS: Just for reference, don’t seek sympathy from AZ fan for losing game in the back of the end zone in closing seconds against a SB winning QB…at least your loss was in Sept v Feb
	12. BEARS: I think you’re good but I’m not sure…check with me after the bye
	13. BENGALS: I’m not saying they’re great but being 4th in rush defense keeps you in a lot of games
	14. STEELERS: The great Big Ben leads an offense that scores less than 16 pts/game
	15. COWBOYS: An important key in scheduling is where are your non-divisional road games—how does DAL get @TB, @DEN and @KC for first three road games?
	16. PACKERS: If Rodgers is so good, why are they 18th in passing offense?
	17. BRONCOS: vDAL, vNE, @SD…finally this nightmare will end
	18. CARDINALS: It’s amazing how many fools want to complain about Wells PT and red zone passes to Fitz…how about the 505 yds of offense IND put on the D?
	19. JAGUARS: vTEN…who’s season ends in the first weekend of OCT?
	20. DOLPHINS: Here’s your only win in the 1st half of season, don’t blow it…will be the greatest 1-7 team in NFL history
	21. BILLS: As a member of the media, I’m sorry T.O….BTW, you lose @MIA
	22. TEXANS: Worst NFL defense v non-existent TEN offense…good seats still available
	23. TITANS: Not a big game, it’s only the difference between a playoff focus and a draft focus
	24. SEAHAWKS: The only thing uglier than their play, their jerseys
	25. RAIDERS: Pass offense=32, overall offense=31 despite seven straight top ten draft picks taken for the offense…now do you see why I say they won’t win 8 games until Al Davis is dead
	26. PANTHERS: All is OK…vWAS and @TB on the way
	27. LIONS: Of course the win is important but it shows the ignorance of Snyder and Cerrato more than anything
	28. REDSKINS: Disgusting.
	29. CHIEFS: Don’t worry you can handle all four NFC East teams in a row-you’ll be 0-4 against them but you can handle losing because you didn’t show up against OAK either
	30. RAMS: Averaging 8pts/game…do I need to say more?
	31. BROWNS: 31st in pts scored, 32 in pts allowed…Mangini’s a joke
	32. RAMS: If they were in the ACC, guaranteed trip to a BCS bowl…put them in the SEC, I think they get to stay home and play in the Outback Bowl—I take JoePa plus the pts
