This is a generic Bibliography because there’s no way I can track where I get these from. Some are from the TV broadcasts of the games, some are from reading through the game notes prepared by the teams, some are from my own notes I keep during the games, some are from reading through generic stat pages and pulling out what I find interesting, and some are from ESPN Stats & Info.

1) Aaron Rodgers completed 17 percent of his passes versus the 49ers blitz with one INT. Therefore, the Redskins only blitzed on seven drop backs. In the first half against four or less pass rushers versus Washington, Rodgers went 23-for-25 for 259 yards and 2 TDs.

2) The Chiefs scored a TD on 27% of their red zone possessions in 2012 (last). They are 5-for-5 this year.

3) The NY Giants have turned the ball over 10 times, that’s the most through the first two games in the history of the franchise (est. 1925).

4) Pittsburgh has the longest current streak of games with fewer than 100 yards rushing (8).

5) The Broncos have beaten the last two Super Bowl Champions in the first two games. The only other team to do it became the next Super Bowl Champion (1992 Cowboys).

6) Texas A&M’s 628 yards versus Alabama is the most given up by an Alabama defense in school history.

7) The Eagles have only one three-and-out offensively. The Cardinals are second with only two.

8) Bill Belichick won for the first time as Patriots head coach when earning fewer first downs than times punted (9 first downs to 11 punts).

9) California’s defense has allowed 500 yards of offense in every game this year.

10) The last time the Lions won in Arizona was 1993.

11) Matt Ryan averages 12.5 yards per attempt against a blitz.

12) The Redskins have allowed 1,023 yards in their first two games. Only the ’67 Falcons are worse at 1,025.

13) There have been five 400+ yard passing/0 interception games by quarterbacks 2013. The record for a season is six.

14) The average starting position for the Lions following a Zastudil punt was the 9.5-yard line.

15) There are three QBs in the 60K yards club. Peyton Manning joined the club in the fewest games (226) compared to Marino and Favre.

16) The Washington Redskins are the first team in NFL history to allow a QB to throw for 450+ yards and a RB to run for 125+ yards in the same game (Rodgers 480; Starks 132).

17) Tom Brady is 6-0 on Thursday nights.

18) Geno Smith threw three fourth-quarter picks in Week 2. Mark Sanchez threw 3 fourth quarter picks in 2012.

19) Adrian Peterson averages five yards a carry when running between the tackles and -2 yards/carry when rushing outside the tackles.

28) Eddie Royal must like Ken Whisenhunt. Eddie Royal had six red zone receptions in his career entering 2013. He has five in 2013.

29) Joe Flacco went 0-for-5 on passes 20 yards down the field and is 2-for-13 on the year.

30) Sunday was the 12th game in Calvin Johnson’s career where he had 100 yards receiving and no teammate had 50.

31) Before last night, the Bengals had lost 10 of their last 11 games against the Steelers.

32) Tampa Bay has 23 penalties for 220 yards. According to advanced metrics, that costs them almost 3 points per game. They’ve lost 2 games by a total of 3 points.
