The Arizona Cardinals’ Larry Fitzgerald will not play in the Pro Bowl.
Fitzgerald was one of four Cardinals to make the team, along with Chandler Jones, Patrick Peterson and Budda Baker. Tyrann Mathieu and Adrian Peterson were named alternates.
Fitzgerald had his third straight season accumulating at least 100 catches and 1,000 receiving yards. He had 109 receptions for 1,156 yards for six touchdowns.
He has been named to the Pro Bowl 11 times and this season’s nod made it his third year in a row. His streak of seven Pro Bowls in a row from 2007-2013 was snapped in 2014 when he had 63 catches for 784 yards and two touchdowns.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin, an alternate, will be the one to replace Fitzgerald in the game. For Seattle, Baldwin had 75 receptions for 991 yards and eight touchdowns.
