CHICAGO — Alessandro Lever and Joshua Braun combined to score 51 points and Grand Canyon kept Chicago State winless in Western Athletic Conference contests with an 86-58 victory on Thursday night.

The Antelopes had two players score 20 points or more in the same game for the first time since Grand Canyon’s last visit to Chicago State.

Lever did most of his damage in the paint, where Grand Canyon (13-6, 3-1) scored 32 of its 40 first-half points. Lever finished making 11 of 14 from the floor to score 28 points and more than double his previous season high of 13 while grabbing eight boards.

Braun finished with 23 points on 9 of 14 shooting, hitting 3 of 5 from distance.

Chicago State (2-19, 0-4) committed 22 turnovers and shot just 19 of 55 from the field (34.5 percent).

Glen Burns scored 16 points to lead the Cougars, with Deionte Simmons adding 14.
