Cameraman slips on ice, tumbles over the boards during NHL game

Jan 19, 2018, 9:53 AM

Slipping across the ice while holding an expensive piece of camera equipment? Just another day on the job for this videographer.

In between periods during a game between the New York Islanders and the Boston Bruins, a cameraman got caught in a peculiar place — on the ice.

As he slipped his way down the rink — while holding onto his camera for dear life — the cameraman ran into a member of the Islanders heading to the bench, almost clotheslining him with his skate.

Although he successfully kept his head on, he’s wasn’t of the woods yet.

He still had to navigate the boards.

“Wait ’til you see the fantastic finish, over you go,” Bruins play-by-play analyst Jack Edwards said as the climax of the ordeal took place.

Looking like a fish being reeled into a boat, he managed to get over the boards — with the camera still fully intact.

Bravo, cameraman, bravo.
