Trio of Arizona Cardinals to test their baseball skills

Oct 1, 2012, 9:34 PM | Updated: 11:06 pm

The Arizona Cardinals are proving they are adept at the game of football, as they have started the 2012 season with four straight wins.

But as any sports fan will tell you, seeing your favorite players dominate every week on the way to countless victories gets old after a while, so it’s nice to see the players struggle at a sport they may not be so good at.

OK, not really, but there’s a chance that will happen Tuesday when a trio of Cardinals throw out the first pitch before the Diamondbacks host the Colorado Rockies at 6:40 p.m.

Defensive linemen Darnell Dockett and Calais Campbell, as well as cornerback Patrick Peterson, will toe the rubber and show off their arms.

They’ll be joined by Glendale-based UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson, but we’re less concerned about him. Unless you’re reading this, Benson, in which case please don’t hurt us.
