Hockey broadcaster takes puck to the face

Being a sideline reporter can be dangerous.

In football, there’s a chance you would get run over.

In basketball, there’s a chance a tall player might trip over you.

In baseball, there’s always the threat of being hit with a line drive.

In golf, you have to watch golf.

And in hockey, you may take a puck to the face. Just like New York Rangers reporter John Giannone.

Giannone’s misfortune occurred during a game between the Rangers and Islanders, as Rangers defenseman Marc Staal’s attempt to clear the puck didn’t quite go as planned.
