Everyone who has ever played competitive basketball has dreamt of hitting a game-winning shot at the buzzer.
And, a lucky group of athletes have done just that, with some of their shots becoming the stuff of legend.
Over in Oklahoma, Hugho High School guard Trey Johnson made a shot that will go down in history.
Dubiously.
His team up just one over Millwood with 3.7 seconds left in the game, Johnson took an inbound pass, raced down the floor and laid the ball into the hoop. His hoop.
The mistake led to a 38-37 Millwood victory, and while Johnson’s bucket only accounted for 5.4 percent of the winning team’s point total, there’s no denying his two were the biggest of the night.
