Earlier in the week black smoke was coming out of the Vatican’s chimney, which was a sign a new pope had yet to be elected by the cardinals.

Here in Arizona, the football Cardinals are receiving the same treatment. Sort of.

The funny folks over at @NFL_Memes created a new one for the football team, and it’s meant to signify (and poke fun) at the Cardinals’ inability to find a quarterback.

We chuckled upon seeing it, and then cried a little inside.
