Umpire gets his salsa on during Phillies game

Aug 7, 2014, 6:35 PM | Updated: 6:35 pm

The Philly Phanatic has a way of getting people to act silly.

And that makes us happy.

During Wednesday night’s game between the Phillies and the Houston Astros, the famous mascot tried to coax umpire Laz Diaz into some salsa dancing.

It succeeded.

And while the umpire is no Victor Cruz and likely won’t end up on Dancing With the Stars anytime soon, we certainly applaud his effort.
