Tom Brady flops, Nick Foles shines as receivers in Super Bowl

Feb 4, 2018, 6:29 PM | Updated: 9:56 pm

The Super Bowl is the biggest game on turf, so why not throw out all the stops?

During the first half of Super Bowl 52, both Tom Brady and Nick Foles changed it up, trading in signal-calling duties for receiving gloves — sort of.

While New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is well-known for his passing prowess, his receiving game needs some work.

Looking to surprise the Philadelphia Eagles, wide receiver Danny Amendola got the ball and looked Brady’s way.

It was a bit overthrown, but still in reach.

Gisele did say her husband couldn’t do it all.

Up next was Foles.

Instead of dropping the wide-open pass — looking at you, Brady — tight end Trey Burton found the Arizona alum for the score.

What a time to record your first reception.

To add to the effort, Foles became the first quarterback to throw and catch a touchdown in the Super Bowl.

After two quarters of play, the Eagles led 22-12 over the Patriots.
