Chicago Blackhawks thank city of Boston

The Chicago Blackhawks just got done defeating the Boston Bruins in what was one of the best Stanley Cup Finals in recent memory.
The series was hotly contested all the way to the very end, which saw the Chicago score two goals within a span of 17 seconds during the final minutes of Game 6. The Blackhawks won the game 3-2, earned the Stanley Cup, held a parade and that was that.
Or not.
The Blackhawks took out a full-page ad in the Boston Globe, and in it they thank the entire city of Boston. Praising the citizens’ spirit, generosity and kindness, they really demonstrated how to be gracious in victory.
And while this is unlikely to erase all the sting from coming so close to a title only to fall short, Bostonians certainly have every reason to be proud of what they and their team accomplished.
