USC football coach Lane Kiffin, team deliver ice cream to band

Generally speaking, a college band is a fairly under-appreciated group on campus.

They put in incredibly long hours and work real hard to hone their craft, yet tend to play second fiddle (get it?) to the respective teams whose games they perform at.

Over at USC, where the football team can be one of the most well-recognized and powerful groups in the state, that is most likely the case.

So, it was nice to see head coach Lane Kiffin commandeer an ice cream truck and, along with some players, deliver tasty treats to the instrument-toting students.
