Snapshot: Cardinals overwhelmed by big first quarter

Keep smiling, Jared Allen. You tormented the Cardinals offensive live -- and Kevin Kolb -- all day long. He got a hold of the Cardinals quarterback twice for 27 total yards lost. Those heads are hanging low on the Cardinals bench and they should be after losing to the former winless Vikings. The Cards were put to shame in the first quarter, after Minnesota took advantage of two turnovers and put 28 points up on the board. The Vikings eventually won 34-10. Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt is going to have some tough questions to answer after Sunday's loss. His defense gave up 34 points, his offense could barely get anything going and his team is sitting at 1-4. Who knows? Maybe the Cards will finish the season with a new head coach, because Whiz isn't getting things done. A rare shining moment in a rough game.
The Cardinals offense could only muster 10 points and gave up four turnovers -- three interceptions (one by back-up Rich Bartel) and a fumble. The offense looked to be promising early in the season, but has fallen apart over the past few weeks. Beast. Mode.
Vikings running back Adrian Peterson went off against the Cardinals on Sunday. The back had 29 carries for 122 yards and three touchdowns.
