Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh helps car crash victims

Mar 4, 2015, 6:44 PM | Updated: 6:45 pm

Jim Harbaugh saved the Stanford football program.

After that, he saved the San Francisco 49ers.

Now, he’s being asked to save the University of Michigan’s football team.

But first, he helped save some motorists.

As reported by ClickonDetroit.com, Harbaugh helped out some victims of a car crash Tuesday afternoon in Ann Arbor.

State police say a Jeep Cherokee lost control on westbound I-94 near Saline Road, crossed the center median wall, overturned and ended up in the eastbound I-94 traffic lanes. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Harbaugh and James Minick, who is a member of the university’s athletic staff, were traveling eastbound on I-94 when they saw the crashed SUV. They helped the passenger — a 73-year-old woman — out of the Jeep. Harbaugh and Minick also assisted the partially-ejected driver with first-aid. Moreover, they used coats to keep the injured passenger warm until EMS arrived.

The story goes on to say the driver and passenger were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
