The Arizona Cardinals signed cornerback Lou Young to a one-year deal on Monday.
The Georgia Tech product went undrafted in 2014 and played on the practice squads of the Broncos, Ravens, Jaguars and Panthers before spending the 2015 season with the Carolina Panthers.
Splitting time with Carolina’s regular season roster and practice squad, Young played under Panthers defensive backs coach and now-Arizona head coach Steve Wilks. Young recorded one tackle in six games played with the Panthers.
Last season, the 26-year-old Young spent training camp with the Washington Redskins and was released on Aug. 3.
In 49 games and 34 starts for Georgia Tech, Young recorded 134 tackles, four interceptions and 12 passes defensed in his college career.
The Cardinals enter the offseason with questions at cornerback. Tramon Williams, 34, is a free agent after he took over the starting role opposite Patrick Peterson in the middle of the 2017 season.
