In 2015, Devin Booker slipped all the way in the NBA Draft to the Phoenix Suns at No. 13. Nearly a year after Booker scored 70 points and set the Suns franchise record for most points scored in a game, cities must wonder what their teams would look like had they drafted the Kentucky guard.

In The Ringer’s recent story where staff writers redraft the 2015 NBA Draft, Booker leapfrogs all the way up to the No. 2 pick.

Booker has proved to be a high-end scorer who has also developed immensely as a playmaker. The only reason Kristaps Porzingis isn’t the selection is because of injury concerns, but he’s still right there despite them.

This jump puts Booker over other young players such as Porzingis, Myles Turner and D’Angelo Russell. The only player still drafted ahead of Booker is his former college teammate Karl-Anthony Towns, who went No. 1 in the original draft.

Luckily, the Suns were able to steal Booker at No. 13 during the original draft, because in the redraft, the Suns are left with Delon Wright. Wright is currently backing up Kyle Lowry for the Toronto Raptors.

Wright is averaging 14 points and 4.5 assists a game in his third year of his career. Devin Booker on the other hand is averaging 24.1 points and 4.9 assists and 4.4 rebounds a game, all career highs.
