Arizona Diamondbacks reliever Archie Bradley was among 17 pre-arbitration players that agreed to one-year contracts on Thursday.
Bradley had a breakout year in 2017, allowing just four home runs and 55 hits while averaging a 1.73 ERA.
He played a major role in the D-backs’ win over the Colorado Rockies in the National League Wild Card Game, hitting a two-RBI triple in the bottom of the seventh inning to extend the D-backs’ lead.
According to a release, the D-backs came to terms with eight other pitchers on Thursday, including right-handers Jake Barrett, Silvino Bracho, Zack Godley, Matt Koch, Jimmie Sherfy, Braden Shipley and Albert Suarez.
Left-hander Jared Miller also agreed to a one-year deal.
In addition, Catcher John Ryan Murphy, Infielders Domingo Leyba, Ketel Marte, Jack Reinheimer, Ildemaro Vargas, and outfielders Socrates Brito and Jeremy Hazelbaker also signed contracts on Thursday.
With the deals, the D-backs now have every player on the 40-man roster under contract for the 2018 season.
