The Arizona Cardinals have agreed to a four-year contract with unrestricted free agent long snapper Aaron Brewer, the team announced Wednesday.

Brewer has appeared in 21 games for the Cardinals over the past two years and returned from a wrist injury to play in eight games during the 2017 season.

The 27-year-old joined Arizona in September 2016, just as the team released rookie long snapper Kameron Canaday. The Cardinals signed Canaday following the retirement of veteran long snapper Mike Leach, but Canaday’s struggles in three games led to the team’s search for a more reliable option.

Prior to joining the Cardinals, Brewer played for the Denver Broncos from 2012-15 and spent time with the Chicago Bears from March to September of 2016.
