Changes coming if Suns continue to struggle

The Phoenix Suns are no strangers to struggles this year. For much of the season the team has failed to live up to expectations, and Wednesday’s loss to the sub .500 Charlotte Bobcats was no different. The team failed to reach the free throw line in the second half, blew a seven-point third quarter lead and didn’t score a point in the game’s final three minutes.
“The games in the NBA usually come down to three or four possessions and we didn’t have any of those possessions, really,” head coach Alvin Gentry told Sports 620 KTAR’s Gambo and Ash Thursday. “At the end of the game they shoot the ball three times and get it back, and basically have it the last minute and forty-seven seconds of the game in a real close game.
“That, to me, is really kind of inexcusable. We have to come up with those plays if we’re going to call ourselves a playoff team or be in the playoff chase at all.”
