The Arizona Coyotes announced Sunday they have recalled forward Dylan Strome from the American Hockey League’s Tucson Roadrunners on an emergency basis.

The team also assigned defenseman Andrew Campbell to Tucson.

The move was made after center Laurent Dauphin suffered a lower-body injury against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday.

Drafted third overall by the Coyotes in 2015, Strome has registered 22-27-49 along with 24 penalty minutes in 44 games in his first season for the Roadrunners.

He currently ranks 13th in the league for goals, nine of which have come on power-plays and three for game-winners. He ranks second among rookies in total goals scored and points, fourth among first-year players in assists and ninth overall in the AHL in scoring.

As a result of his performance, he was selected to play in the 2018 AHL All-Star Classic in January.

This will be Strome’s third stint in the NHL this season, registering 1-0-1 in 11 games for the Coyotes this season and 1-1-2 in 18 games overall in his career.

Strome is not expected to suit up for the Coyotes against Vancouver Sunday, and neither is goaltender Antti Raanta or forward Zac Rinaldo.

Despite skating Sunday morning, Raanta will miss his fourth straight game due to injury.
