Arizona Cardinals unrestricted free agent John Brown has agreed to contract terms with the Baltimore Ravens, the team announced Wednesday.

Brown enters his fifth season with much to prove after health issues limited him over the past two years. A sickle cell trait and hamstring injury related to it hampered his production after he set career highs with 1,003 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 2015.

The balls thrown Brown’s way decreased in 2016 (72 in 15 games) and 2017 (56 in 10 games) after he was targeted more than 100 times in each of his first two seasons.

Brown finished 2017 with 299 receiving yards on 21 receptions as he battled toe, quad and back injuries.

A third-round pick in 2014, the Cardinals selected Brown out of Pittsburg State after he burst onto the scene with a strong NFL Scouting Combine performance in the 40-yard dash.

His 4.34-second time was third-best in the draft class, behind only running back Dri Archer and receiver Brandin Cooks.
