Wells says Steelers or not, Cardinals just need a win

Ken Whisenhunt used to coach for the Steelers, as did much
of his staff.

Combine that with a handful of players who also have ties
to Pittsburgh and the fact that these teams met in the
Super Bowl just a few years ago and it would make sense
that Sunday’s game brings a little extra importance.

Maybe not.

“We just need to win,” running back Beanie Wells told
Arizona Sports 620’s Doug and Wolf. “It doesn’t matter who
we’re playing against.”

Fair enough.

The Cardinals, losers of four straight, really just need
to beat someone and get back in the win column. It just so
happens that their next opponent is a team with one of the
best defenses in the NFL.

“They get to the football; collectively as a defense
they’re one of the best in the league,” Wells said. Of
course, most teams have a weakness somewhere, but the
third-year pro says that isn’t the case here.

“I don’t think they have a weakness but hopefully we can
find some holes in their front seven and get some running
game going.”
