As part of the criteria for the 2018 Dan Majerle Hustle Award, Phoenix Suns fans have the chance to vote for a player that best resembles Thunder Dan’s style of play.
Since the award’s inaugural season in 2003, a Suns player is honored each year with the accolade for personifying the same hustle, grit and determination that Majerle had on the hardwood.
The winner will be chosen using using the votes from Suns fans, players, coaches, employees and — to top it off — Majerle himself. The voting groups carry equal weight in determining the final selection.
In addition, the winner will also receive a $9,000 donation for any charity of his choice.
The winning player will be announced on April 8 during the Suns’ game against the Golden State Warriors at Talking Stick Resort Arena.
Previous winners include Alan Williams in 2017, P.J. Tucker from 2013-16, Sebastian Telfair in 2012 and Grant Hill in 2011.
Ballots close April 4.
