Former Texans, Eagles and Rams linebacker Connor Barwin is scheduled to visit the Arizona Cardinals this week, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter via Twitter.
Barwin, 31, spent last season with Los Angeles after four seasons in Philadelphia and four seasons in Houston. In his nine NFL campaigns, he has appeared in 127 games (109 starts) with one interception, 42 passes defensed and 55.5 sacks. He was a Pro Bowl selection in 2014 with the Eagles when he had 14.5 sacks, 64 tackles, five passes defensed and two forced fumbles.
Last year, the Cincinnati alumnus recorded 5.0 sacks and 34 tackles in 14 games.
If he were to sign with the Cardinals, he’d do so under first-year head coach Steve Wilks and join a linebacker corps that includes Chandler Jones, Markus Golden, Haason Reddick and Deone Bucannon, among others.
According to Spotrac.com, Barwin had a $3.5 million cap hit with the Rams last season.
