Former Dallas Cowboys pass rusher Benson Mayowa will be visiting the Arizona Cardinals, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Undrafted out of Idaho, Mayowa spent his rookie season with the Seattle Seahawks in 2013. He played in two games, was inactive the rest of the season and was released in August of 2014.
Mayowa then played his next two seasons with Oakland after being claimed off waivers. He had 29 tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
As a restricted free agent in 2016, the Cowboys signed Mayowa to a three-year, $8.25 million offer sheet the Raiders declined to match.
In 2016 he led the team with six sacks but dealt with knee soreness and a back injury in 2017 while being unable to climb up the depth chart.
He was released by the Cowboys in March.
The Cardinals have also reportedly brought in former Eagles pass rusher Connor Barwin for a visit.
