The Arizona Diamondbacks’ bullpen cart is no longer a one-of-a-kind novelty.
Starting Friday, the Detroit Tigers will offer relievers the chance to ride to the mound on their own bullpen cart.

For players who elect not to use the cart, their jackets will be driven from the bullpen to the dugout in the cart.
The D-backs have also used the cart to drive jackets to the dugout for relievers who preferred transporting themselves to the mound.
The last time a bullpen cart was used in Major League Baseball before this season was in 1995 by the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Tigers bullpen cart will debut tonight when the Tigers take on the Yankees at Comerica Park.
