After selecting their only defensive player in the previous round in cornerback Chris Campbell, the Cardinals choose Cunningham as their sixth player overall and the fifth player on offense.
Cunningham started 12 games at left tackle for the Bearcats in 2017 representing his team as one of three senior captains and earning a second team All-American Athletic Conference selection.
The 6-foot-6, 305 pound tackle was ranked as a top-60 tight end coming out of high school. When he arrived at Cincinnati he weighed just 220 pounds.
A three-sport athlete in high school who also participated in basketball and baseball, Cunningham displayed his athleticism at his pro day posting a 4.90 40-yard dash, according to draftscout.com.
Cunningham joins third round pick center Mason Cole of Michigan as new additions to the offensive line for the Cardinals.
