Defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche apparently has a soft spot and a gentle touch.
On Wednesday, the Bottle Baby Kitten ICU at the Arizona Humane Society received a visit from the Arizona Cardinals third-year pro, who volunteered by feeding the tiny cats.
Nkemdiche trained as a bottle feeder for the operation, which is overseeing around 80 foster kittens and their around-the-clock needs.
Apparently, the Cardinals’ 2016 first-round pick has quite a few foster kittens at home already. His presence raised awareness during a busy season for the humane society, which said it is over capacity by about 20 kittens.
“Major purrs to Robert for taking some time off the practice field to bottle-feed these newborn kittens! We are looking forward to teaming up with Robert throughout the year to save more feline lives,” the organization’s Facebook post read.
Those interested in helping to foster kittens and thereby reduce the workload of the Arizona Humane Society volunteers and staff can visit the organization’s website for more information.
