Nash 4th, Gortat 5th in All-Star balloting

Feb 3, 2012, 1:32 AM | Updated: 1:38 am

Steve Nash is fourth for Western Conference guards and Marcin Gortat is fifth for centers on the 2012 NBA All-Star voting ballot.

The starters have been chosen, but the reserves are selected by the 30 NBA head coaches. The coaches must vote for seven players in their conference. That group will consist of two forwards, two guards, a center and two players regardless of position. The reserves will be announced on Feb. 9.

If selected to play, this will be Nash’s eighth All-Star game and Gortat’s first.

The starting lineup for the Western Conference is composed of Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant, Andrew Bynum, Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul.

Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Derrick Rose and Dwyane Wade will be the starters for the Eastern Conference.

The All-Star game will be played in Orlando on Feb. 26 at 6 p.m.
