Doug Franz previews the NBA Draft Lottery for the Phoenix Suns

May 14, 2018, 6:21 PM

Doug Franz of 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s Doug & Wolf broke down the NBA Draft Lottery for the Phoenix Suns.

Tuesday’s event will unveil whether the Suns will pick first, second, third or fourth in the 2018 NBA Draft.

The Suns enter the lottery with the best odds of landing the No. 1 pick at 25 percent.

That’s good news for Doug, as he believes there is only one choice for the Suns if Arizona’s Deandre Ayton is available.

Ayton, though, is projected by many as the No. 1 overall pick, so Phoenix could be forced to select another name.

That’s where Franz drops two names: Duke’s Marvin Bagley III and Real Madrid’s Luka Doncic.

Why not three names? Well, Doug refuses to believe the lottery is “rigged” enough for the Suns to pick fourth.

His first three choices are all Ayton, but if those fall through, he likes Doncic at two and Bagley at No. 3.
