Report: Steve Nash has no interest in being traded

Feb 6, 2012, 11:12 PM | Updated: 11:29 pm

All along the Suns have maintained that they have no
interest in trading star point guard Steve Nash, and would
only part with him if he asked to be dealt.

That hasn’t happened — at least not yet.

According to a report by CBSSports.com’s Ken Berger, the Suns
would accommodate Nash’s wish to be traded, if he in fact
had one.

“It’s really on him in terms of what he wants to do or not
do,” a person with knowledge of the situation said. Nash,
who turns 38 next week, will be an unrestricted free agent
July 1.

Really, the Suns and Nash are in the same place now as
they were last week, last month and, probably, last year.
They don’t want to trade him, and he is not anxious to
leave.

While that could change before the March 15 deadline, it
appears you can plan on seeing Nash wear his customary
purple and orange No. 13 jersey for the foreseeable
future.
