Former Suns GM: Nash would never ask for a trade

If Steve Nash ever wanted to be traded, there’s only a few
people around who would probably know about it.
Former Suns GM Steve Kerr is one of them, because not only
was he in charge of the team’s roster for a time, but he
also was the one who signed the point guard to a contract
extension in in July 2009.
And Kerr, who is now a broadcaster for TNT, says there’s
no chance Nash would ever ask to be dealt.
“I don’t even think it’s a consideration with Steve
because he’s so dedicated to his teammates, to his
coaches, to the fans,” Kerr told Arizona Sports 620’s Doug
and Wolf. “It never even enters his mind to go in there.”
Kerr said Nash may wonder what it would be like to play
somewhere else, but that’s as far as it would ever go.
“It’s just not who he is.”
While the Suns maintain they’ll be willing to trade
Nash if the veteran asks out, the point seems to be
moot.
