The Arizona Cardinals signed 2018 second-round NFL Draft pick Christian Kirk to a four-year rookie deal on Thursday, the team announced.

The Texas A&M product joins first-round pick Josh Rosen, fourth-round pick Chase Edmonds, sixth-round pick Chris Campbell and seventh-round pick Korey Cunningham as rookies who have inked deals with Arizona.

Only third-round pick Mason Cole, an offensive lineman out of Michigan, remains unsigned.

Kirk, a 5-foot-11, 200-pound receiver, recorded 730 yards and seven touchdowns on 58 catches as a junior. It was his least-productive season in college, as he caught 80 balls for 1,009 yards as a freshman in 2015, then caught 83 passes for 928 yards and nine touchdowns as a sophomore.

A product of Scottsdale’s Saguaro High School, Kirk was arrested and charged with criminal damage for throwing rocks at cars in the parking lot outside the Waste Management Phoenix Open in February.

“I think the situation is going to resolve itself here in a couple of months, and with it still being an ongoing legal issue, I’m not going to go into it any further than that,” Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks said on May 15.

“We knew about it,” he added. “We did our own independent research on it and we felt very good about the information that we received and that’s why we moved forward in really drafting him.”

For the Cardinals, Kirk figures to be in the competition to earn a starting receiver role alongside Larry Fitzgerald. Brice Butler, J.J. Nelson, Chad Williams and Cobi Hamilton are among the other potential candidates to earn major roles in the passing game.
