Adrian Peterson offers a helping hand to child in need in Houston

Jun 3, 2018, 2:20 PM

Former Arizona Cardinals running back Adrian Peterson did some giving back to a child in need in the city of Houston this weekend.

A video on the twitter account of @CoachMikeGPU shows Peterson at an old apartment helping a young man named James by giving him bags of groceries and some life advice.

“Stay out of trouble, keep your nose clean and try to surround yourself would good people, okay?” Peterson told the youngster. “Always have faith, believe in God and work extremely hard and you can become anything you put your mind to.”

If that wasn’t enough, Peterson helped put together a peace walk in Houston on Saturday.

In 2007 Peterson’s half brother was shot and killed on the same street that Peterson’s Stop the Violence Peace Walk was held on.

It was part of the No More Bloodshed Movement, which aims to provide resources for young people in Houston.

Last season Peterson rushed for 448 yards and two touchdowns in six games for the Cardinals.
