It only took Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte one at-bat during Sunday’s game against the Colorado Rockies to put his name in the team’s record book.
During the second inning, Marte stepped up and sent a solo shot into the bleachers, giving the D-backs an early 1-0 lead.

With his fourth bomb of the season, Marte tied a D-backs record with his 10th straight extra-base hit. He joins Chris Iannetta, Paul Goldschmidt, Luis Gonzalez and Steve Finley as the only D-backs to accomplish the feat.
The last player to to do so in MLB was Phillies’ Carlos Santana, who did it earlier this season from April 25 to May 9.
Since May 29, Ketel has hit five doubles, two triples, and three home runs, knocking in eight RBIs over that span.
In the month of June, Marte has gone .333 from the plate with a 1.301 OPS and slugging .917.
Here is a list of his last 10 hits from first to last:

His streak came to an end after he hit an RBI single in the sixth inning, but might have one already brewing after an RBI double in the seventh.
