Heap thanks fans in Baltimore

Arizona Cardinals tight end Todd Heap may not play Sunday
in Baltimore, a city where he spent the first ten years of
his career.

But that fact didn’t stop Heap from delivering a heartfelt
thank you to the fans that bellowed “Heeeeeeaaappp” every
time he caught a ball at M&T Bank Stadium.

Heap purchased a full-page ad in The Baltimore Sun to
express his gratitude in advance of Sunday’s game.

For a decade, my wife Ashley, and I took gread
pride in calling Baltimore home. We greatly appreciated
the way this city embraced our family and took us in as
your own. We wanted to publicly and emphatically thank
all of you for your incredible support over the years.

Heap is the Ravens’ 2nd-leading all-time receiver with 467
catches and went to two Pro Bowls while wearing the black
and purple of Baltimore.

Heap has missed the Cardinals’ last two games and has been
limited in practice this week as he nurses a hamstring
injury.
