A photo shared by the Orioles on their Twitter account showed the Capital’s seat inside the press box, with the front page of the paper and white roses on the desk in honor of the victims.
A gunman with a vendetta against the newspaper burst into the newsroom Thursday with a shotgun, killing assistant managing editor Rob Hiaasen, editorial page editor Gerald Fischman, special projects editor Wendi Winters, reporter John McNamara and sales assistant Rebecca Smith.
Multiple others were wounded.
