For the second time in two weeks, a popular member of the
Phoenix
Suns has landed in Los Angeles.
Free agent forward Grant Hill has weighed all of his
options, and
according to Arizona Sports 620’s John Gambadoro, will
land in
Hollywood, as well — but unlike Steve Nash, Hill won’t be
wearing
purple and gold.

Hill, 39, spent five years in Phoenix, where he averaged
10.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in 49 games with the Suns in
2011-12.
Still, Suns president of basketball operations Lon Babby
maintained a desire to bring the veteran back, though
according to Arizona Sports 620’s Craig Grialou, the two
sides differed on money and role.
“#Suns did not want to go beyond veterans’ minimum
w/Hill,
who made $6.5 million last season; playing time wouldve
also been reduced,” he tweeted.
The Clippers will be Hill’s fourth NBA team. The Detroit
Pistons
drafted Hill with the third overall pick of the 1994 NBA
Draft. After
spending six years in Detroit, Hill was traded to Orlando
in 2000.
With the Magic, he spent six injury-plagued seasons before
signing
as
a free agent with Phoenix in 2007.
