Another day. Another milestone.
With nine minutes to play in Thursday’s game against the Connecticut Sun, Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi ripped the net with a 3-pointer to become the WNBA leader in all-time field goals made with 2,631. She passes Tina Thompson (2,630) on the all-time list.

This wasn’t the first milestone in 2018 for Taurasi.
In June, she became the first WNBA player to score more than 8,000 points in her career. Taurasi surpassed the WNBA’s second all-time leading scorer, Tina Thompson and her 7,488 career points, last June.
After cutting her overseas season short last winter because of an injury, Taurasi used time to rest, recover and “tune up her body.”
Before entering play Thursday, the former No. 1 pick in the 2004 WNBA Draft was averaging 20.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists for the 13-5 Mercury.
Over the course of her 14-year career, she’s averaged 19.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists.
Congrats, Taurasi.
Congratulations to @DianaTaurasi on becoming the official #WNBA leader in all-time field goals made! #WatchMeWork pic.twitter.com/3C57HiqyKl
