The Phoenix Suns don’t have what one would call a “go-to” scorer.
But they do have six players who averaged double figures last season, meaning they are not exactly without scoring options.
One such option is Jared Dudley, who has raised his scoring average every year since joining the Suns and appears poised to take another step forward.
“Just more confident, more aggressive,” Dudley told Arizona Sports 620’s Doug and Wolf when asked where he’s improved since last season. “I’m one of the best shooters on this team; when I’m open I feel like I can make it.
“My ball-handling off the dribble and just more attacking the basket when that lane opens up.”
Dudley averaged 12.7 points per game last season mostly as a starter, and shot .485 from the floor and .383 from three point range.
He’s developed a reputation for being a heady player, someone who makes the right play and is effective even without superior athleticism.
