Diamondbacks reinstate Alex Avila from DL, option Bracho to Reno

The Arizona Diamondbacks reinstated catcher Alex Avila from the 10-day disabled list, the team announced on Saturday.
In addition, right-handed pitcher Silvino Bracho was optioned to Triple-A Reno following Friday’s game against the San Diego Padres.
The catcher is hitting .124 (13-for-105) from the plate with a double, three homers, seven RBI and 16 walks in 45 games with Arizona. His catcher ERA (3.34) currently ranks fourth in the NL.
He is slotted to bat eighth in the lineup Saturday.
Avila was sent to the DL back on June 27 with a strained right hamstring.
Bracho has posted a 2-0 record with a 1.72 ERA in 13 games with the Diamondbacks. He’s struck out 22.
He was recalled from Reno on July 5.
