Paul Goldschmidt and Patrick Corbin have been selected to represent the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2018 MLB All-Star Game in Washington, D.C.

Goldschmidt, who will make his sixth consecutive All-Star game, is batting .277 with 51 RBI and 20 home runs so far this season.

He was named the National League Player of the Month for June after slashing .364/.460/.738 with 19 of 39 hits going for extra bases. He hit 10 of his home runs this year in June and batted in 23 RBI last month as he drastically improved from a sluggish start to the season.

In May, the first baseman hit .144, striking out 35 times in 97 at-bats.

Starting pitcher Patrick Corbin will make his second All-Star appearance, with his first coming in 2013. While it hasn’t shown in the win column this season, the 28-year-old has been dominant in his outings this season for Arizona.

He currently boasts a 3.05 ERA with 118 strike outs and 30 walks in 112 innings pitched this season. In his last three starts, the left-hander has an ERA of 0.95 with an opponent batting average of .191.

Fans will be able to vote in the final player for each of the NL and AL rosters. A list of five players will make up ballots in each league, and voting will be open to fans until Wednesday, July 11, at 1 p.m. MST.
